Top 5 Instant Pot Recipes

One of the greatest inventions ever made was the Instant Pot. While I have not been as daring as other to try a wide variety of recipes, I have managed to try some that have been enjoyed and requested again from my family.

Here are my top 5 Instant Pot recipes that are my family's favourite.

1. Tuscan Chicken Pasta

You an never go wrong with a warm creamy pasta dish, that is filled with healthy spinach, chicken and lots of parmesan cheese.

2. Whole Chicken

Add a simple side, such as mashed potatoes or fries along with a salad or corn and this is an easy meal that can feed everyone's tummy. I do also like to add a whole peeled, onion inside along with a few springs of fresh thyme.

3. Savory red wine short rib ragu with Pappardelle

This can be made using your slow cooker option on high for 2-3 hours or on pressure cooker option for 45 minutes using high pressure. You would still need to saute everything before pressure cooking or slow cooking to get that initial savory flavor.

4. Beef Stew With Dumplings

With staying home more often, it is always nice to have a cozy comfort meal that warms the heart. This one is a big favorite in my family. Everything gets so soft and tender that it melts in your mouth. Even my picky 6 year old loves this.

5. Afghani Lamb Shank with Rice

This is another family favourite that gets cooked often. The lamb shanks I usually get from the butcher. The only part of this recipe that I skip out on is adding the carrots and raisin as they are not a big fan favourite in my family. It does ask for a type of rice called Sela rice, which I have not been able to find in my local grocers so I just use basmati rice and make it the same way as this recipe.

I also like to make a simple cucumber and tomato salad to go along with this dish. It just brings that extra zest to the dish and your taste buds! Afghan Salad |

Let me know if you have any recipes that are a favourite in your family. I always love trying new ones. If you do try these recipes, let me know what you think.....Happy Cooking!!!
