With all the crazy things going on in life right now; between homeschooling, working from home and keeping up with daily household chores, it can make you feel and even look run down. Not only does your body feel it but your face will eventually start to show it. It is hard to even get a few minutes to yourself to feel fresh.
There are a few things that you can do to your morning wake up routine that can help you start your day fresh and help bring that glow back to your face. I started this daily routine when I was pregnant with my first son because I was not one of those who were fortunate to have that "glowing pregnancy face." My face started to become dull and darker especially around my mouth and of course those dark circles appeared...and after 3 kids, it is still there.
Try these simple steps with your morning routine of brushing your teeth and washing your face:
Wash your face with warm water
This helps you to wake up slowly and not be a major cold shock to your skin. It also helps to open up your pores.
2. Wash your face with cold water
After washing with warm water, quickly wash your face with cold water. This help to close back your pores, after your washed away any impurities that
ma have come out from that warm water. It also helps to help the blood flow throughout your face. Do this for 30 seconds.
3. Gently pat your face dry
4. Massage your face
I like to apply coconut oil as a gentle facial moisturizer during the massage. Start with repeatedly tapping your fingers gently under your eyes back and forth for about 10 seconds.
Using two fingers, start from each side of your nose and gently slide your fingers across to your cheek bones up to your temples. Put light pressure on your temples. Do this about 5 times.
Use your same two fingers and rub them along your eyebrows. Starting from the inner part of your eyebrows and work towards your temple. Repeat 5 times.
Using all your fingers, gently pinch your skin along your jaw bone. Repeat 5 times.
***I also like to use coconut oil to wash my face at the end of the day. It is great facial cleanser to wash off your makeup and helps to bring a soft and smooth feeling on your skin.
5. Facial Yoga
Take a deep breath in and exhale through your mouth, making a lion's face while your tongue sticks out. Do this 2-3 times.
Suck your cheeks in like a fish and then make a very big smile-showing teeth while your cheek bones raise high.
6. Apply your under eye cream and daily facial moisturizer
Your face is now ready to start the day!!!
